Data Engineer - POS/Syndicated Consumption Platform

We’re seeking a Data Engineer with at least 3 years of professional experience with data enablement for a Point of Sale or Syndicated Consumption platforms in support of Sales and Marketing stakeholders. This role plays a critical part in modernizing analytics capabilities by designing scalable data pipelines, performant data models, and intuitive reporting solutions. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex data challenges end-to-end.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Analytics, and technical teams to understand data needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
• Design and evolve enterprise data warehouse architectures based on functional and technical requirements.
• Build and maintain logical and physical data models across staging, warehouse, and semantic layers.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain batch and mini-batch ELT/ETL pipelines moving data from diverse source systems into dimensional models.
• Tune SQL queries, Python processes, and data pipelines to ensure high performance across medium to large datasets.
• Implement scheduling and orchestration for automated data loads and refresh cycles.
• Troubleshoot data quality, reliability, and performance issues across existing analytics solutions.
• Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and visualizations that enable faster insight discovery and decision-making.
• Ensure analytics solutions meet usability, performance, and scalability standards.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4 years of hands-on experience reading and writing SQL in analytical or data warehouse environments.
• 3 years of experience designing and engineering data warehouses with dimensional data models.
• 3 years of experience building data pipelines or ETLs using Python and cloud-based or enterprise integration tools.
• Experience supporting analytics use cases tied to Sales, Marketing, Point-of-Sale, or consumption data platforms.
• Proven ability to gather technical requirements and translate them into scalable data structures and reporting solutions.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Advanced SQL expertise, including performance tuning and complex query optimization.
• Experience developing analytics solutions in cloud data platforms and relational databases.
• Familiarity with syndicated consumption data providers or retailer-focused POS platforms.
• Experience tuning ELT/ETL workflows and large-scale analytical queries.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms and semantic modeling layers.
• Exposure to cloud data services such as streaming, orchestration, storage, and data integration tools.
• Background supporting Sales, Marketing, or commercial analytics at enterprise scale.
