Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced line cook to take on a lead role in our kitchen. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands the pace and precision of a high-volume pub-style operation and takes pride in executing quality food consistently.
This position plays a key role during service, helping set the standard on the line, supporting the kitchen team, and ensuring smooth communication and execution throughout each shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to support the kitchen team, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and safety guidelines at all times
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with recipe execution under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas
- Contribute to meal preparation for catering events or large orders, ensuring timely execution without compromising quality
- Serve as a reliable team member during busy service times, supporting front-of-house staff when needed
- Follow all food safety regulations and documentation requirements to uphold health standards
Requirements
- Experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry demonstrates familiarity with kitchen operations
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques are preferred
- Knowledge of culinary practices including cooking methods, meal preparation, and menu planning is very important
- Understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
