Senior Windows Systems & Active Directory Administrator
Location/ Work Structure:Hybrid (Tuesday–Thursday onsite Columbus)
Compensation:$59/hr- 72/hr

Client Overview:Vernovis is partnering with a large enterprise organization seeking a Senior Windows Systems & Active Directory Administrator to lead critical infrastructure initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on enterprise-scale Active Directory, Windows Server environments, and security remediation efforts.
What You'll Do:- Lead enterprise infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and security remediation initiatives
- Manage and maintain large-scale Active Directory environments, including GPO, DNS, DHCP, and PKI
- Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation using tools like Tanium and Qualys
- Support and enhance cloud-integrated identity solutions (Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365)
- Troubleshoot complex system and authentication issues across enterprise environments
- Lead and mentor a team of 10 engineers while remaining hands-on technically
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory in enterprise environments
- Deep expertise in Active Directory architecture, Group Policy, replication, and directory services
- Experience with enterprise patching and vulnerability remediation tools (Tanium, Qualys)
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation and system management
- Experience in compliance-driven or highly regulated environments
- Background in infrastructure migrations, consolidations, or modernization efforts
- Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies
