Job Title: Tax Preparer / Reviewer (Contractor)

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and/or review individual (1040), corporate (1120/1120S), and partnership (1065) tax returns
- Collaborate with firm leadership and bookkeeping staff to ensure timely, accurate filings
- Communicate with clients to clarify documentation and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws
- Support light bookkeeping work as needed during the engagement
What Experience You’ll Have:
- Prior experience preparing and/or reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns
- Proficiency using professional tax preparation software (Lacerte, UltraTax, ProSeries, TaxSlayer, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of current tax laws and filing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
What Experience is Nice to Have:
- CPA or EA designation
- Experience with Drake Tax Software
- Previous experience supporting small or mid-sized public accounting or bookkeeping firms
