What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Support Specialist (Center-Based) position at Vermont Head Start Association?
Center-Based Family Support Specialist- $24.70-$27.23 /Hour
We are seeking an individual to support our Family Services team as a center-based Family Support Specialist. Reporting to the Family Services Manager, this person will provide case management and intervention services to program families, conducting a minimum of 3-4 visits with each family annually. They will also plan, coordinate, and implement group activities and parent committee meetings, providing transportation to families if necessary.
Minimum Qualifications: AA/AS degree in Human Services or related field with two (2) years’ experience working with at risk families, OR If an unrelated degree, completion of a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field within eighteen (18) months of hire with two years’ experience, OR three years’ case management or related experience and completion of a credential or certification in social work, human services, counseling or related field within eighteen (18) months of hire. Must pass background check and pre-employment physical.
Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS degree in Human Services or related field with two (2) years’ experience working with at risk families.
