Baker

Vermont Cookie Love is looking for an efficient, reliable person to join our award-winning ice cream and cookie shop as a Baker. This position requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work both alone and as part of a larger team.

The Baker is a part-time position at our Middlebury location. The ideal candidate would be available 4-5 mornings per week from 8am-Noon (this timing can be somewhat flexible for the right individual; occasional weekend shifts are a possibility). This role would be perfect for a stay-at-home parent or a retiree looking to stay active.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure that all necessary cookies to open the store are portioned and baked by our opening time at 11am.

- Prepare special orders.

- Stock cookie dough and ice cream as needed.

- Helps to clean the kitchen and retail spaces.

- Produces cookie dough tubs as needed.

- Counts morning cash when needed and helps to set up the store for daily business.

- Helps serve customers when the team needs an extra pair of hands.

Experience in a kitchen or retail environment is helpful but we are willing to train the right person. Must be comfortable working on your feet.

We are looking for a part-time/seasonal addition to our team who wants to work 3-4 mornings/early afternoons per week through at least the end of the year. We are open to a flexible arrangement with the right person, who could be a stay-at-home parent or recent retiree. Must be able to lift tubs of cookie dough (up to 40 pounds) and be comfortable working on your feet. This is a part time position with flexible shifts. This job is eligible to earn tips (approx. $2-5/hour depending on season).

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.0 – 20.0 per week
