The Spanish teacher will deliver engaging instruction aligned to world language standards, integrate technology and authentic resources, and foster a supportive, inclusive learning environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and confidence.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Spanish teacher will: Teach Spanish courses at the high school level (courses assigned based on experience and scheduling needs)Plan and deliver effective lessons that support student proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listeningCreate a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, and engagingUse a variety of instructional strategies, including communicative language teaching and proficiency-based approachesAssess student learning through formative and summative methods and provide timely, meaningful feedbackDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needsIntegrate technology and authentic cultural materials to enhance instructionCollaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment practices, and interdisciplinary learning opportunitiesCommunicate regularly with students and families regarding progress, expectations, and support strategiesParticipate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide eventsSupport the mission of the school and contribute positively to the life of the Catholic school communityPerform other duties as assigned by the administrationMission FitRice Memorial welcomes candidates of all faith backgrounds who are enthusiastic about contributing to a mission-driven Catholic school.
