Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Full-cycle assembly of cables, including layout, soldering, striping/crimping jacketed wire, insertion of wire into contacts, tightening connector assemblies, torquing, taping, banding, and using adhesive to prepare the cable for sealing.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Vermillion Quality Management System and Safety standards, using situation-appropriate tools and protective equipment
- Develop an understanding of the principles of continuity and operation of test equipment
- Maintain a pristine and organized workbench
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
- Ability to use measuring tools to measure lengths accurately and precisely is required; certain responsibilities may require precision to within 1/32 inch
- Strong organizational skills
- Hand dexterity
- Ability to assemble products according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings/diagrams
- This position requires the employee to have clear vision at 20 inches or less (with or without the use of personal corrective eye wear or a company-provided magnifying glass) in addition to color vision in order to identify and distinguish colors.
- Must pass a background check.
