Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Initiate purchase orders for supplies, parts, services, and/or equipment
- Performs a variety of duties to ensure that merchandise, supplies, and equipment are shipped on schedule by vendors
- Maintains purchasing and estimating records, purchase and estimating requests, and vendor logs
- Maintains a library of purchasing/estimating material and sources of supply
- Assist with supplier management, to include supplier appraisal and negotiation
- Provide material estimates for the planning department; maintain accurate records of estimates
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Associate’s Degree (at minimum) plus at least two years of purchasing/estimating experience required; or equivalent work experience
- Manufacturing and/or aircraft (or similar technical) industry experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including strong knowledge of Excel
- Working knowledge of MRP or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks within deadlines
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
