Field Technician -Heavy Equipment
Manassas, VA | Vermeer All Roads
If you are mechanically inclined, enjoy working independently and are ready for a new challenge, we want to talk to you! Vermeer All Roads is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our awesome team in Manassas, VA. Put your skills to work repairing Vermeer machinery and components by traveling to customer locations. Ideal candidate has previous experience as a field technician. Must be 21 years old and insurable by our carrier.
Compensation & Schedule
- Hourly pay: $28–$40 (based on experience)
- Production bonuses available each pay period
- Full-time schedule Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Service Manager
- Diagnose malfunctions in hydraulics, electrical, and hydrostatic systems
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed
- Recommend appropriate repairs and prepare cost estimates
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed
- Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements
- Communicate with the factory for technical support
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be 21 yrs old and insurable to drive company vehicles
- Experience with hydraulics, hydrostatics, and electrical troubleshooting
- Welding experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
