Summary/Objective
The HR Generalist supports day-to-day human resources operations across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, HR compliance, and administrative processes. This role works closely with leadership and employees to maintain a positive workplace culture, ensure accurate and timely HR documentation, and support key people-related initiatives. A strong focus on organization, communication, and confidentiality is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruiting including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer support
- Maintain candidate pipelines and applicant tracking systems
- Coordinate onboarding activities including new-hire paperwork, background checks, I-9/E-Verify, and compliance forms
- Prepare and update employee records in the HRIS
- Facilitate new hire orientation and support onboarding experience
Employee Support & Records Management
- Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies and procedures
- Maintain personnel files and ensure documentation accuracy and compliance
- Assist with benefit program coordination and employee inquiries
- Support HR reporting and tracking metrics (hiring, training, turnover, etc.)
General HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Assist with training coordination and compliance documentation
- Support performance review cycles and employee relations activities
- Help identify and implement process improvements to enhance HR efficiency
Other Duties
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Provide administrative support as needed
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve the employee experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in HR or related field preferred
- 3 years of HR experience (Generalist, Coordinator, or Recruiter background welcome)
- Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Self-starter with flexibility and a positive attitude
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally
- Ability to type and file documents
