What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Finish Commercial Construction Superintendent position at Veritas General Contractors?
We are seeking an experienced Interior Finish Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage interior finish & commercial projects from start to completion. This role requires a proven leader with a strong background in reading construction plans, coordinating trades, comfortable with client interaction, and ensuring high-quality results that meet schedule and budget requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all phases of interior finish work for commercial construction projects
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Work with the city to get permits, inspections, etc
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to ensure timely project completion
- Monitor job site safety, quality control, and compliance with building codes
- Maintain detailed daily reports and communicate progress with project management
- Resolve on-site challenges quickly and effectively
Requirements:
- Extensive experience reading and interpreting construction plans
- Senior supervisory experience in interior finish-out work
- Experience with MS Project software — creating/editing schedules.
- Proven track record in managing construction projects
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Spanish/English Bilingual is a plus
