The Role

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing Manager to run our Distribution Center and oversee the inventory control & logistics that supplly our 25 practice locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse.

This role demands a leader who operates consistently above standard expectations in inventory accuracy, receiving, and systems management. You won't just oversee a facility—you will be the ultimate champion of inventory discipline, managing everything from bulk frame shipments to running analyses on inventory counts that miss the mark.

Key Responsibilities

• High-Level Receiving & Invoicing: Oversee receiving of opthalmic frames and sunglasses. Ensure 100% precision when matching physical shipments aganist purchase orders and processing vendor invoices.
• Systems Maintenance & Data Integrity: Maintain real-time inventory accuracy across our practice management systems, which includes training the staff and management at our practices locations in the proper use of our inventory systems.
• Monitoring, Reporting & Replenishment: Track supply levels to prevent stockouts of high-demand designer eyewear and clinical essentials. Produce inventory reporting for company leadership and coordinate auto-replenishment.
• Vendor & Optical Practice Coordination: Communication between external vendors, and our practice locations to resolve shipping discrepancies and optimize lead times.
• Advanced Count Operations: Lead comprehensive physical inventory and cycle counts. When a discrepancy occurs, you don't just fix the number—you dive deep into the workflow to diagnose the underlying root cause and correct the system logic or human behavior.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 2 years of experience in Distribution Center or Warehouse Management, ideally with experience managing high-volume retail/SKU environments, medical devices, or optical supply chains.
• Track Record of Precision: A proven baseline of consistently outperforming standard target metrics for receiving accuracy, invoice reconciliation, and shrinkage reduction.
• Technical Savvy: Expert-level familiarity with modern Inventory Management Systems (IMS/WMS) and robust Excel skills for structural data analysis.
• The Root-Cause Mindset: You are deeply analytical and view an inventory discrepancy as a puzzle to solve at its origin point, rather than just an entry to adjust.
