Our client is looking for a Tax Manager to join their growing tax practice in Glenview, IL. What You'll Do:
- Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns
- Manage the tax provision and tax compliance process
- Identify and implement process improvements in tax procedures
- Build new and existing client relationships and develop deep knowledge of client businesses
- Manage, train, and review tax staff, while mentoring tax associates
- Take on broader responsibilities supporting overall firm management
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (Master's in Accounting or Taxation preferred)
- 5 years of experience preparing and reviewing tax returns; supervisory experience preferred
- CPA certification required
- Strong technical knowledge of tax law, including federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax research/compliance software (e.g., CCH, Bloomberg, BNA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client service orientation and relationship-building skills
- Solid leadership and interpersonal skills, with an analytical, detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
