Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair aerial telecommunications lines and associated equipment.
- Inspect existing aerial lines for damages or required upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in project planning and execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for residential and commercial clients.
- Operate aerial lifts and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and installations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an Aerial Lineman or similar role in telecommunications.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in aerial work.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Adequate physical strength and stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. CDL a Plus
Physical Requirements / Aptitude:
- Able to move in different positions – crouching, kneeling, reaching, bending and lifting 75 lbs., unassisted.
- Works well with small hand and power tools.
Other:
- Available to work nights and be on-call; willing to work overtime when required; willing to travel and to work in all-weather conditions.
- Self-motivated and able to work well in groups.
