DESCRIPTION
As an Insurance Operations Specialist, you will be supporting the Underwriting team to leverage Granular's precision risk solution to provide self-funded employers with more predictable benefit plan protection.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and manage key administrative workflows related to the underwriting and quoting process.
- Support new and renewal underwriting tasks for 1-3 specialty insurance business units.
- Evaluate insurance documents and reports and identify and retrieve necessary information.
- Input statistical information needed to support decomposing and clearing of submissions, quote and policy development.
- Research risk information in support of underwriting decisions. Other responsibilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for varying levels of audiences.
- Creative and analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and with other team members as needed.
- A strong desire to work in a fast-paced, evolving, startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must possess strong process skills and ability to interact with brokers/consultants/partners, clients and prospects in a professional and credible manner.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $55,000-$65,000 bonus benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
