Job Title: AV Support Technician
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: 2-3 month contract
Pay Range: $32-38/hr. (or higher/negotiable based on experience)
Summary:
Verigent's client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented AV Support Technician to provide day-to-day support for conference rooms and collaboration technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring seamless meeting experiences by supporting users, maintaining AV systems, and performing proactive room checks.
Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite support for meetings, including setup, troubleshooting, and live assistance.
• Perform pre-meeting checks to ensure all conference room technology is fully operational.
• Assist users with joining and hosting meetings, primarily using Microsoft Teams Rooms.
• Configure and set up new users on AV and collaboration platforms.
• Monitor and maintain conference room equipment to ensure consistent performance.
• Troubleshoot AV issues related to audio, video, and connectivity in real time.
• Support and maintain integrated AV systems, including control panels and DSPs.
• Escalate complex technical issues as needed and document resolutions.
• Coordinate with IT and facilities teams for ongoing support and improvements.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience in AV support, IT support, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience supporting conference room technology.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar collaboration platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across audio, video, and connectivity issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Crestron control systems.
• Experience with Biamp audio systems (DSPs, microphones, etc.).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts related to AV systems.
