Job Overview
As a Janitor/Cleaner, you’ll keep shared spaces clean, sanitary, and ready for the people who use them each day. You’ll work with cleaning equipment and approved chemical agents, follow safety protocols, and respond to routine facility needs. Duties
- Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, common areas, and other assigned spaces through commercial or residential cleaning tasks.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers, and perform floor care and buffing.
- Handle chemical agents according to product instructions and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Move supplies and equipment using safe manual and heavy-lifting practices.
- Support facilities maintenance and routine maintenance needs; assist with residential painting when assigned, and provide porter support and courteous customer service.
Requirements
- Cleaning experience is essential; janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or porter experience is preferred.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and perform floor care, including operating floor buffers, is preferred.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and follow sanitation and workplace safety protocols.
- Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting using safe lifting practices.
- Customer service skills and a dependable approach to facilities maintenance and routine tasks are valued.
Pay: $550.00 per week
Work Location: In person
