Grant Writing & Grant Applications Intern

Verballi AI
Charlottesville, VA Intern
POSTED ON 6/27/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/25/2026

Company Description Verballi AI helps educators verify student understanding through structured, AI-supported conversation rather than polished written work alone. As AI-generated writing grows harder to detect, Verballi focuses on scalable oral assessment that lets instructors hear students explain their thinking and demonstrate genuine comprehension. Students respond verbally to instructor-created prompts aligned to course rubrics while the system listens, asks targeted follow-up questions, and documents conceptual understanding without generating content for students. By analyzing speech patterns and prosody, Verballi helps distinguish natural explanation from prepared text, much like an oral exam. The platform is built with educators, for educators, to support teaching at scale, clarify authorship, and refocus assessment on learning, reasoning, and explanation.
