The Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager will lead the design and execution of high-voltage overhead transmission line projects (69kV and above).

This role combines technical leadership and project management, overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams while ensuring project delivery meets scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Strong expertise with PLS-CADD modeling and transmission design is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership

• Lead engineering teams for overhead transmission line projects (69kV ).
• Provide technical oversight for transmission line routing and design activities.
  
  

Project Management

• Manage engineering scope, project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
  
  

Transmission Line Design

• Serve as the technical lead for PLS-CADD modeling and analysis.
• Perform and review transmission design calculations including:
• Structural loading
• Line routing
• Framing and hardware selection
• Foundation design
  
  

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines including:
• Structural engineering
• Civil engineering
• Permitting teams
• Procurement teams
• Construction support teams
  
  

Client & Business Development

• Interface with utility clients and project stakeholders.
• Support proposal preparation and business development initiatives.
  
  

Team Leadership

• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Provide technical guidance on transmission design best practices and tools, including PLS-CADD.
  
  

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering:
• Civil Engineering
• Structural Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Or related discipline
  
  

Experience

• 8-12 years of overhead transmission line design experience
• Experience working on transmission systems 69kV or higher
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing technical deliverables
  
  

Technical Skills

• PLS-CADD expertise (Required)
• Strong understanding of structural aspects of transmission line design
• Experience with:
• Foundation design
• Framing and structural loading
• Line routing and modeling
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Experience supporting EPC or engineering consulting projects
• Experience with transmission structures including:
• Steel structures
• Wood poles
• Laminated or composite poles
• Lattice towers
