The Senior Specialist, Engineering Services will support engineering development activities including design, testing, troubleshooting, integration, and validation of electronic, mechanical, and software systems. The Senior Specialist, Engineering Services will support engineering development activities including design, testing, troubleshooting, integration, and validation of electronic, mechanical, and software systems. This role involves working closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues, improve system performance, and support product development and testing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design, documentation, integration, and testing of engineering systems
- Perform system-level and subsystem verification & validation testing
- Conduct troubleshooting, fault isolation, and failure analysis
- Work with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
- Execute experimental testing and operational analysis
- Build, repair, and maintain electronic hardware and test equipment
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and voltmeters
- Track and manage engineering assets and hardware defects
- Support field testing and customer acceptance testing
- Maintain documentation, reports, and test data summaries
- Use configuration management tools (e.g., Agile)
- Support ordering and procurement of engineering components
- Ensure compliance with engineering processes and standards
- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience (or 4 years with Master's / 10 years without degree)
- Strong experience in engineering testing, troubleshooting, and system validation
- Experience with electronic systems and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters)
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Knowledge of engineering testing and validation processes
- Ability to analyze and resolve system-level issues
- Experience with technical documentation and reporting
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication
- Experience with RF systems and Software Defined Radio (SDR)
- Knowledge of RF components (ASICs, PLLs, DACs, amplifiers, power systems)
- Experience with surface mount technology (SMT - 0402 scale)
- Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-620, IPC-7711/7721)
- Experience with configuration management tools (Agile preferred)
- Experience managing electronics labs or calibration environments
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry
