Location: Albany, New York (Onsite)

Work Type: Contract (90 Days)

Schedule: 3 Days / Week (12-Hour Shifts)

Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Schedule: Monday - Friday (3 shifts/week)
• 36 Hours per Week
  
  

The RN - Labor and Delivery is responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care (LDRP model).

This role involves monitoring maternal and fetal health, assisting during delivery, and educating families while ensuring high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Excellence

• Provide care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Support and coach patients during labor
  
  

Clinical Monitoring & Intervention

• Assess patient condition and respond to changes
• Assist physicians during delivery procedures
• Perform newborn assessments and act as Baby RN when required
• Ensure patient safety during high-risk situations
  
  

Care Coordination & Education

• Educate families on newborn care and postpartum recovery
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Support discharge planning and patient education
  
  

Specialized Support

• Assist in Operating Room (OR) settings when required
• Work within LDRP model units (Level 1 & Level 3 care environments)
• Provide care in special care nursery settings when needed
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Active RN License (State of New York or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• LDRP experience (Mandatory)
• BLS Certification (Required)
• NRP Certification (Required)
• Ability to work night shifts
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Level 1 / Level 3 L&D units
• Experience in Operating Room (OR) support
• Previous travel RN experience
