The Regional Surgery Center Administrator will provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs). This role is responsible for managing facility operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and physician relationships, while ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and financial oversight for multiple ASC facilities
- Lead day-to-day operations in collaboration with administrators, physicians, and governing boards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation (AAAHC), and safety standards
- Develop and manage operating, staffing, and capital budgets
- Monitor financial performance and mitigate operational risks
- Build and maintain strong physician partnerships and medical staff relationships
- Oversee credentialing processes and contract management (vendors & physicians)
- Lead, mentor, and develop facility leadership teams
- Drive quality improvement, infection control, and patient experience initiatives
- Partner with corporate leadership on reporting, audits, and strategic initiatives
- Identify opportunities for service line growth and operational improvements
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- 5-7 years of healthcare leadership experience
- Experience in Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) OR hospital surgical leadership with ASC exposure
- Strong experience in multi-site operations management
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards (AAAHC preferred)
- Strong financial and operational management experience
- Expertise in healthcare operations and facility management
- Strong financial acumen (budgeting, P&L, cost management)
- Leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing physician relationships and partnerships
- Strong knowledge of compliance, quality, and patient safety standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Direct experience managing multiple ASC facilities
- Experience in multispecialty surgical centers
- Exposure to orthopedics, GI, pain management, plastic surgery, or gynecology services
- Strong background in process improvement and healthcare operations optimization
