Key Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic imaging studies per physician orders, using proper technique and positioning.
- Ensure radiation safety and ALARA compliance to minimize exposure to patients and technologists.
- Assess image quality and adjust technique as needed for diagnostic accuracy.
- Provide patient-centered care including safety instructions, support, and reassurance.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to imaging regulations and Providence policies.
- Operate a variety of sophisticated imaging systems safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with radiologists and support clinical staff in workflow and patient care.
- Support efficient department operations and patient throughput.
- Education: Must meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements.
- Oregon Radiographer License OR Oregon Radiographer Temporary License upon hire.
- National ARRT Certification - Must obtain within 6 months (180 days) of hire.
- BLS - American Heart Association (required upon hire).
- New graduates: Must hold an OBMI Temporary License and obtain permanent licensure within 6 months.
