Oracle Financials Functional Consultant (R2R Lead)

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Financials Functional Consultant (R2R Lead/Manager) to oversee post-production support across Record-to-Report (R2R) processes in Oracle Financials Cloud.

This role acts as a functional lead and escalation point for complex accounting and close-related issues, driving operational excellence, RCA, and continuous improvement across finance systems.

Key Responsibilities

R2R Functional Leadership

• Lead functional support across R2R modules including:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Subledger Accounting (SLA)
• Cash Management
• Fixed Assets & Lease Management
• Oracle Projects (Costing & Billing)
• ARCS, FCCS, EDMCS, EPM/Narrative Reporting
• Support period close, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Production Support (L2/L3)

• Own incident triage and resolution for P1/P2 issues
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and prevent recurring issues
• Act as escalation point for complex cross-functional issues
  
  

Support Governance & Coordination

• Coordinate L2/L3 teams across functional areas
• Ensure adherence to incident, problem, and change management processes
• Maintain structured governance and operational discipline
  
  

Integrations & Data Management

• Monitor and support integrations (FBDI, APIs, OIC)
• Manage batch jobs, error handling, and reprocessing
• Ensure data accuracy across finance systems
  
  

Release & Upgrade Management

• Manage Oracle quarterly updates:
• Impact analysis
• Regression testing coordination
• Production validation
  
  

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge articles
• Provide operational reporting (SLAs, backlog, recurring issues)
• Establish continuous improvement processes
  
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8 years of Oracle Financials experience
• Strong expertise in R2R processes (GL, SLA, Close, Reporting)
• Proven experience in L2/L3 production support environments
• Strong experience in incident management and RCA
• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ITIL-based support experience
• Experience with ServiceNow or Jira
• Experience with OTBI / BI Publisher
• Experience in financial close reporting and reconciliation
