Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- Ensure high-quality patient care and clinical outcomes
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff and charge nurses
- Manage patient flow, staffing, and scheduling
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission)
- Monitor and improve quality metrics and patient satisfaction
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies
- Analyze data, identify trends, and implement performance improvements
- Maintain confidentiality and handle high patient volumes effectively
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field - Required
- Active California RN License - Required
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association) - Required
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) - Required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg/Telemetry experience
- Basic EKG/Telemetry interpretation experience (or completion within 6 months)
- Master's Degree (MSN or related field)
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry
- Experience in acute care hospital settings
- Leadership experience in high-volume patient environments
- Strong clinical expertise in Med/Surg and Telemetry care
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
