Hiring a Journeyman Systems Engineer to support the Phalanx Griffon (PG) program, the Air Force's flagship airborne system for data-driven decision-making across the battle network. You'll be a critical part of Major Release 2 (FY 25-27), driving digital engineering efforts, owning the technical baseline, and aligning multi-domain systems across hardware, software, and operations.
Essential Responsibilities
System Architecture & Modeling
- Lead and maintain SysML/CAMEO models, DoDAF views, and interface control documents (ICDs) for airborne node systems.
- Ensure digital thread completeness via traceable requirements and model-driven verification.
- Manage stakeholder requirements in DOORS-NG or equivalent tools.
- Run reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), delta boards, and configuration control workflows.
- Partner with IPTs to implement digital designs into lab/test environments (SIL).
- Support interface troubleshooting (cross-domain, crypto, power/data bus).
- Align testing with the Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) and IATT planning.
- Maintain technical risk register and brief risk burndown.
- Integrate schedule/performance metrics into digital dashboards and IMS.
- Mentor engineers in Agile, MBSE, DevSecOps, and classified project environments.
- Promote a collaborative, model-first systems engineering culture.
- U.S. Citizenship and Active TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
- 8 years of experience in systems engineering (DoD C4ISR, avionics, or open architecture)
- Hands-on proficiency with:
- SysML tools: CAMEO/MagicDraw, Rhapsody (or equivalent)
- Requirements tools: DOORS, Jama
- Experience leading SRR, PDR, and CDR reviews in a digital engineering context
- Familiarity with MIL-STD data links and systems:
- Link-16/22, TTNT, OMS/UCI, SATCOM, Type-1 Crypto, RMF/IA compliance
- INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, or DAU ENG/SAE Level III certified
- Prior experience with ABMS, CJADC2, or airborne C4ISR programs
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines (Platform One, Iron Bank)
- Experience using ModelCenter, Cameo Simulation Toolkit, or other automated validation tools
- Ability to brief SES/GO stakeholders and contribute to documents like:
- Acquisition Strategy (AS), SEP, SEMP, TEMP
