Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time clinical pharmacy support within the Emergency Department
- Review, verify, and optimize medication therapy for emergency and critical care patients
- Participate in emergency responses, codes, and rapid clinical decision-making
- Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff on medication selection, dosing, and safety
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and best practices
- Support medication-related education for clinical staff as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reporting, and intervention tracking
- Promote medication safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts
- Active Delaware Pharmacist License or eligibility to obtain
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Certification
- Certificate in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care
- Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience
- Completion of formal clinical pharmacy training
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
