This role requires strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Must-Haves
Do you have Cardiac Sonography training?
Do you have carotid training (preferred)?
Do you possess strong critical thinking and independent decision-making skills?
Are you comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress clinical environment?
Do you have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification?
Do you have Echo Registry certification OR are you registry-eligible (and willing to obtain within 1 year)?
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Cardiac Sonography training (required)
Associate's Degree (preferred)
Certifications / Licenses:
Basic Life Support (BLS) (required)
Echo Registry Certification (preferred)
Registry-eligible candidates must obtain certification within one year
Experience / Knowledge / Skills
Experience performing echocardiograms in an acute care or hospital setting
Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound imaging techniques
Ability to analyze and capture high-quality diagnostic images
Strong critical thinking and sound judgment skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Have
Echo Registry certification (preferred)
Carotid ultrasound experience
Key Responsibilities
Perform echocardiograms and cardiac ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians
Ensure accurate image acquisition for diagnostic interpretation
Monitor patient condition and ensure comfort during procedures
Maintain and operate echocardiography equipment safely and effectively
Document procedures and findings accurately in medical records
Follow all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols
Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams for patient care
Provide compassionate care in acute care settings
