Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Mentor, supervise, and support the growth of electrical engineering staff.
- Manage resource allocation and team assignments in collaboration with the Office Manager.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews for all electrical project deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership and participate in client/project interviews.
- Oversee the design and implementation of electrical building systems: power distribution, lighting, data/telecom, and fire alarm systems.
- Perform lighting calculations, circuit layouts, and switchgear designs.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate system performance.
- Coordinate electrical design efforts with multidisciplinary teams from concept through construction.
- Track and manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, scopes of work, and fee estimates.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and services.
- Strengthen client relationships and represent the firm in the engineering community.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (Required)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Required)
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in electrical design, engineering, and project leadership
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Visual, Elum Tools, MS Office)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, construction practices, and documentation standards
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Professional Engineering (PE) license
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Proficiency in electrical design software
