Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Corporate Tax Manager (Provisions) to join our Corporate Tax Solutions team in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you'll take ownership of tax engagements and serve as a key resource for clients on corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740 income tax accounting matters. You'll collaborate with colleagues and national tax experts to support clients' full range of tax functions in a hybrid work environment that fosters professional growth and flexibility.

This position offers a clear path to leadership roles within the firm and provides an opportunity to work across various industries and client types while building deep technical and client-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage corporate tax engagements from planning through completion, including budgeting and client communications.
• Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.
• Review corporate income tax returns and provide guidance on accuracy and tax-saving opportunities.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate senior associates, associates, and interns on engagements.
• Respond to IRS, state, and local tax authority inquiries.
• Identify additional service opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.
• Utilize ONESOURCE Tax Provision and other tax software to prepare and process returns.
• Maintain strong, ongoing client relationships by effectively understanding their business operations and tax goals.
• Participate in internal training and professional development sessions to maintain technical proficiency.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate tax regulations, and firm quality standards.
• Collaborate with national tax specialists, including the Washington National Tax Office (WNTO), on complex issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Active CPA or JD license required
• 4-7 years of progressive experience in corporate tax compliance and/or consulting
• Experience in corporate income tax with strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes)
• Ability to work in-office at least two days per week (hybrid work schedule)
• Excellent skills in tax research, return review, and technical consulting
• Strong proficiency with U.S. GAAP and federal, state, and local corporate tax compliance
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in Taxation (MST) or LLM in Taxation
• Experience working in public accounting or a professional services environment
• Prior experience with ONESOURCE Tax Provision software
• Familiarity with taxation of international operations and transfer pricing
• Proven leadership experience managing engagement teams and mentoring staff
• Excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal skills
