Corporate Attorney

Essential Functions
Corporate Governance
- Prepare corporate minutes, maintain records, and support governing body presentations.
- Draft corporate announcements and internal communications.
- File corporate documents with state agencies.
- Perform general corporate "housework” and ensure legal document accuracy.
- Coordinate responses to subpoenas and legal notices.
- Review and summarize legal pleadings; facilitate discovery.
- Manage litigation portfolio, monitor claims, and maintain litigation holds.
- Work with outside counsel on investigations and legal strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and attend ADR as needed.
- Provide legal guidance on regulatory matters across multiple states.
- Assist in compliance efforts related to healthcare and long-term care operations.
- Conduct internal investigations regarding employee concerns.
- Draft position statements for EEOC and OCR claims.
- Support risk management activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all legal documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CLO.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree (Required).
- 1-2 years of experience as a corporate attorney (healthcare law preferred).
- Experience in long-term care or in-house legal department (plus).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage sensitive information confidentially.
