The State of Iowa's Department of Management (DOM), Division of Information Technology (DoIT), is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst (BA6) to support multiple ongoing technology initiatives. The selected candidate will work with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and manage business and system requirements for various enterprise applications, focusing on delivering high-value outcomes in a hybrid work setting.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and IT teams to gather and document detailed system requirements.
• Create and maintain user stories, functional documentation, and acceptance criteria.
• Document, trace, prioritize, and assess business practices, workflows, and system processes.
• Assist with project management or QA analyst roles for smaller projects when needed.
• Conduct data analysis, process mapping, and recommend improvement solutions.
• Maintain project documentation including risks, issues, and progress updates.
• Work in Agile frameworks with a focus on continuous improvement and quick iteration cycles.
• Occasionally participate in database or forms analysis as needed.
  
  

Preferred Experience:

• Experience consulting with government or public-sector agencies.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Visio.
