As an AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Specialist, you will support national security research, development, and defense technology assessments in a high-performance environment. Essential Job Functions:
- Build complex models and entities in AFSIM reflecting real-world military systems.
- Create dynamic, realistic scenarios that simulate action-reaction interactions.
- Develop dynamic scripting techniques within AFSIM to control entity behaviors.
- Contribute to Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) study plans and execution.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts to translate technical and operational requirements into simulation models.
- Work closely with study leads and stakeholders to ensure study accuracy and relevance.
- Analyze AFSIM simulation results and present findings in written and oral formats.
- Collaborate with agile development teams to continuously improve simulation tools and methods.
- U.S. Citizenship (Required due to security clearance).
- Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
- BS degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant analytical experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AFSIM scenarios/models.
- Scripting or programming experience (e.g., Python, C , etc.).
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Ability to apply the scientific method to diverse MS&A tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel when required.
- MS degree in engineering, science, or technical field.
- Experience with STK, JMP, Python, C , or R.
- Familiarity with modern military systems (foreign & domestic).
- Prior experience with NGTS, OneSAF, LVC, or similar modeling environments.
