About the role
We are seeking a results-oriented and hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our high-volume, direct-to-consumer fulfillment and production operations. In this role, you will lead our warehouse team, driving a culture of excellence and accountability. The ideal candidate will be a decisive and engaged leader who can optimize processes, manage operational metrics, and foster a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a high-performance team: Manage labor planning, scheduling, and performance of the warehouse team to meet production and fulfillment goals. Cultivate an inclusive, engaging, and highly productive work environment.
- Drive operational excellence: Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes for production and fulfillment (picking, packing, and shipping) to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure inventory integrity: Oversee all inventory management practices, including cycle counts and audits, to maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency throughout the warehouse.
- Manage performance with data: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure departmental efficiency, drive accountability, and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Optimize vendor relationships: Oversee and manage relationships with a diverse group of vendors, including suppliers, contractors, and freight partners, to ensure seamless operations.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships: Collaborate closely with the finance, logistics, and marketing teams to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading a warehouse or distribution center in a high-volume, direct-to-consumer environment.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse, multi-cultural workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage operations using data and metrics.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP applications, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving operational results.
- A collaborative and cooperative approach to working with all levels of staff and external partners.
