Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) – Part-Time to support an innovative program. You will support an industrial security program for a non-possessing cleared contractor. You will assist in maintaining compliance with NISPOM requirements, supporting personnel security, reporting obligations, and day-to-day security operations in a primarily remote environment.

Work Location: Remote: (U.S.-based) with occasional onsite support in Fairfax, VA

Part-time 10-20 hours/week

Travel: Less than 10%, 2-4 trips per year

Clearance: Active TS required

Required Experience:

• Degree type in Business Administration, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• 2 years of relevant work experience in industrial security, personnel security, or related field.
• Knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) requirements.
• Experience supporting personnel security processes including onboarding, offboarding, and clearance tracking.
• Familiarity with visit authorization requests (VARs), foreign travel reporting, and security documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  
  

Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant certifications (CDSE training).
• Completion of FSO Program Management for Non-Possessing Facilities training.
• Experience with DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with Insider Threat Program requirements and DCSA reporting.
• Experience supporting cleared government contractors.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills across distributed teams.
