Role Overview
The Fabrication Manager supervises a team of welders and fabricators who work on the necessary component parts of a piping fabrication that supports the organization’s production goals and objectives while meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations.?
Lead Responsibilities
- Personal integrity, leadership skills, and communications ability to inspire optimum performance among a diverse set of employees.?
- Directs entire fabrication production workflow.
- Oversees interpretation of drawings/specification.
- Demonstrates understanding of core welding technologies and educates team.
- Interfaces with various levels in the organization and shares information as required.
- Enforces established safety guidelines; promotes a safe workplace.
- Maintains accurate records and metrics.
- Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops fabrication staff; manages schedules and workflow.
- Performs additional duties as assigned or required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED. College degree preferred.
- Certified in welding, forklift certification.
- 5 years or more of experience in fabrication supervision in same/similar industry or role.
- 1 years successfully managing a team of employees.
- Computer literate; Proficient with MS Office 365.
- Expert level distribution-specific ERP systems skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate [written and verbal].
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Detailed oriented work style comfortable with multiple priorities being juggled while maintaining a consistent work approach.
- Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
