Job Overview
As a Tier I SOC Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting 24/7 security operations by monitoring security events, analyzing alerts, responding to incidents, and escalating issues to ensure the protection of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Monitor mission-critical communication sites and information systems for security events and potential threats.
- Analyze, classify, prioritize, and escalate security alerts in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform event triage, technical analysis, and data collection to accurately identify security incidents and reduce false positives.
- Document, track, and respond to incidents received through email, chat, phone, and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with team members to improve security playbooks, dashboards, detection rules, and operational metrics.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders during security incidents and communicate recommended response actions.
- Assist with incident response activities and support the resolution of network and cybersecurity events.
- Maintain accurate documentation while meeting operational and performance standards.
