Job Title: Project Manager – Intermediate | W2-CONTRACT ROLE
Location: Remote (Must live within a 6-hour radius of Columbia, SC)
Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
Visa: USC / GC only
Interview: 1 Round – Virtual (Webcam/F2F if required)
Position Overview
Under limited supervision, the Project Manager will support the client by coordinating and completing complex hydrogeological and groundwater-related projects. This role involves evaluating land application and groundwater monitoring sites, reviewing NPDES permits, and assessing project impacts on groundwater resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete complex hydrogeological project evaluations using client IT tools such as ePermitting
- Conduct feasibility reviews of historical and background groundwater monitoring data
- Provide written technical review comments and recommendations to Permit Engineers
- Review and initiate groundwater monitoring project plans and specifications for industrial and domestic wastewater facilities
- Coordinate with enforcement, permitting, and intra-agency teams
- Maintain groundwater data collection and tracking systems
- Update project status in groundwater tracking systems and ePermitting
- Communicate with the public, industrial, and agricultural representatives as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with ePermitting or equivalent government electronic permitting systems
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Groundwater hydrogeology
- Geochemistry
- Contaminant transport
- Hydrogeologic data evaluation
- Experience supporting environmental, water, or regulatory projects preferred
- Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills
