Job Title: Inventory Specialist
Location: Boise, ID (Treasure Valley Area)
Travel Requirement: Up to 20% travel within the Boise/Treasure Valley market
Position Overview:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and asset records while ensuring the efficient management of organizational equipment, supplies, materials, and assets. This role supports inventory tracking, receiving, storage, distribution, reconciliation, and audit activities to ensure accountability and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, supplies, materials, and organizational assets
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness
- Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, distributions, and disposals
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for efficient access and accountability
- Conduct inventory counts, cycle counts, physical audits, and asset verification activities
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, damaged goods, and overages
- Coordinate with procurement teams and internal departments regarding inventory needs and deliveries
- Support warehouse operations including stocking, labeling, packaging, and shipping
- Operate inventory management systems and tracking tools to maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with inventory control policies, procedures, and asset management standards
- Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and operational efficiency
- Support annual inventory reviews, audits, and reconciliation activities
- Maintain proper handling, storage, and security of inventory assets
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational operations

Physical Requirements:
