Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support inventory control, asset tracking, warehouse operations, and inventory reconciliation activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and distributing materials, conducting audits, and ensuring organizational assets and supplies are properly tracked, stored, and available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records for equipment, supplies, materials, and organizational assets.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
- Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, distributions, and disposals.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for efficient access and accountability.
- Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damaged goods.
- Support warehouse activities including stocking, labeling, packaging, and shipping.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding inventory needs and deliveries.
- Maintain compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.
- Generate inventory reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Support annual asset verification and audit initiatives.
- Lift and move inventory items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous inventory, warehouse, asset management, or stock control experience preferred.
- Experience working with inventory management systems and databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
