Position Details
- Role: Database Administrator – Consultant
- Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Contract Duration: 12 months

- Candidate must be a South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform database administration and management for Oracle environments
- Manage Oracle Database 11g and 12c, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Conduct database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization
- Perform database planning, scaling, and capacity management
- Design databases and data models, create indexes, and optimize queries
- Configure and manage:
- Oracle Data Guard
- Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Oracle ASM and ACFS
- Oracle GoldenGate
- Perform RMAN backup and recovery operations
- Collaborate closely with development teams across the SDLC
- Support enterprise operational models such as ITIL, ITSM, DevOps, and SOA
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field
- 7 years of experience in a development or service administration role
- 5 years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture and physical structures
- Experience with RMAN backup and recovery
- Experience working with development teams
- Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle RAC, and Oracle installations
- Exposure to ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA models
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
