Position Details:
- Job Title: Vulnerability SE II
- Location: Virginia Beach, VA - ONISTE
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
Job Summary:
The Vulnerability SE II will function as a System Engineer Level II supporting the cybersecurity, end-user computing, and core engineering teams. The role will work closely with the cybersecurity team to review, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities related to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and related software environments. This position will focus on vulnerability remediation, deployment management, scripting, Active Directory administration, and cloud/security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the vulnerability management system to identify, review, and track vulnerabilities and remediation activities.
- Develop Active Directory Group Policies, automation scripts, deployment packages, and customized installers.
- Assist in researching and implementing remediation configurations for identified vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams and follow established change management procedures.
- Support deployment and remediation activities across enterprise environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field with 4 years of professional IT experience
- OR
- Equivalent combination of education and progressive IT experience totaling 8 years.
Technical Skills:
- Cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft Intune, PatchMyPC, Workspace One, etc.
- PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch scripting
- Microsoft Active Directory & Group Policies
- Microsoft Entra
- Database, network, virtualization, and OT operations
- Security architecture and cloud security best practices for AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar platforms
- Experience evaluating vulnerability and threat information to prioritize risk mitigation
