Security 2nd Shift

Location: Rockford, IL 61109

We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Officer to join our team for the 2nd shift in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and property during evening hours.

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Patrol assigned areas regularly to ensure safety and security of the facility.
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to identify and resolve potential security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in security or law enforcement preferred.
• Ability to work the 2nd shift hours (typically afternoon to late evening).
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
• Valid security guard license or certification as required by Illinois state law.

This position covers the 2nd shift hours, generally from late afternoon to late evening. Specific hours will be provided during the interview process.
