About the Role
Ventura Spotlight is a local advertising platform that helps small businesses reach thousands of local households through postcard mail campaigns.
We are seeking motivated Sales Representatives to help local businesses join upcoming campaigns. Candidates with previous experience as Account Executive (AE), Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR) are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Prospect local businesses through:
- cold calling
- text outreach
- door-to-door visits
- Present Ventura Spotlight advertising opportunities
- Close advertising deals with business owners
- Use provided scripts and sales materials
- Communicate with the Operations Manager after each sale to:
- process payments
- submit advertiser information
- begin ad design immediately
Compensation
Typical Campaign Example
- ~15 advertisers per campaign
- Average ad size: $350–$1000
- Commission: 30% per sale
Successful reps can earn up to ~$3,000 per campaign.
Ideal Candidate
- 1-2 years of Sales Experience (advertising sales experience is preferred but not required)
- Experience with B2B, Door to Door, outbound calling sales
- Experience engaging with small business owners and decision-makers
- Motivated, driven & ability to work and adapt under pressure
