Shift: 3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am | Shift Differential $0.50 hour

Job Summary

Performs Weighmaster duties.  The weighmaster ensures that all necessary information has been entered into both SAGE and any other required formats. The weighmaster also weighs fruit loads, tankers, cargo trailers and peel trucks at scales and records same for audit, billing and fruit payment purposes. The expectation is 100% accuracy.

Primary Responsibilities

• Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately.  All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor or the supervisor in charge during their shift.
• Responsible for weighing, measuring, or counting any product to be transported in or out of facility.
• Responsible for accurate handling of, scale tickets, and individual dialog with drivers.
• Accurately distribute, weigh in and weigh out a type all pertinent information on the BOL.  Complete all pertinent information on inbound paperwork and inspection form.
• Enter incoming fruit loads into Sage in a timely manner.
• Properly batch out fruit loads from the yard once it has been processed.
• Adhere to all safety and operating procedures.
• Communicate clearly to supervisor and relief foremen proper adherence to of fruit run lists.
• Properly direct truckers to control traffic flow into and out of the facility.
• Maintain equipment related to weigh station operations as instructed.
• Identify and communicate possible coding errors seen on daily printout to shift supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work environment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and large-scale ERP applications a must. 
• Proficient with computer for Sage and user portal to handle Weighmaster responsibilities and preparing daily activity report.
• The ability to work successfully in a team environment is a must.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees, 3rd party drivers and management in management’s requested format.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends and occasional holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 20 pounds to waist level.
• Up to two hours at a time sitting and entering data into a computer.
• Must climb and descend stairs at least four times or more per shift.

Salary : $24 - $25
