About the Role
Ventosa Vineyards is seeking professional, energetic Event Bartenders to join our team for weddings and private events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys delivering exceptional guest experiences in a beautiful vineyard setting overlooking Seneca Lake.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, efficient bar service for weddings and private events
- Prepare and serve wine, beer, and mixed drinks in accordance with event menus
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar throughout service
- Set up and break down bar stations before and after events
- Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Work closely with event coordinators and banquet staff to ensure seamless service
- Handle cash and/or POS transactions accurately (if applicable)
- Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
Qualifications
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of wine service and basic cocktails (wine knowledge strong plus)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume event setting
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working weddings or large-scale events
- Familiarity with Finger Lakes wines
- TIPS or other alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)
