Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company located in the Lorain, OH area. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the financial processes including finance controls, general ledger and fixed asset
Requirements of the Financial Analyst
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 3–6 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills
Responsibilities of the Financial Analyst
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations under the direction of the Plant Controller.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual activity.
- Assist with standard cost updates, cost analysis, and inventory-related financial reporting in coordination with Materials and Operations.
- Develop and maintain operational and financial reports to support plant performance metrics.
- Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting; prepare supporting documentation.
- Support fixed asset accounting activities including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
