FOREMAN JOB DESCRIPTION
The Foreman is responsible for leadership and oversight of the field crews, safety, communication, and jobsite management to drive delivery of high-quality results. The Foreman will work with crews and manage all aspects of team member work product. This includes but not limited to equipment mobilization, equipment operation, securing/controlling site materials, following all permits, managing onsite resources, meeting or exceeding production goals and project outcomes. The Foreman will establish a cadence of consistent communication with the project manager and will lead by example by working alongside the crews as the project requires to drive high quality results.

Safety

· Ensures the JSAs is completed at the start of each jobsite, noting discussion items, confirming it is reviewed and signed by each person entering the jobsite, and recorded daily
· Ensures adherence to all Company policies and procedures
· Demonstrates a high level of situational awareness, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues
· Ensures proper care, readiness and use of tools, equipment, trailers, and vehicles
· Responsible for timely reporting and documentation of:
o Damaged equipment
o Property damage
o Accidents
o Injuries or illness
o Utility hits and close calls
· Ensures that the appearance of personnel, tools, equipment, trailers, vehicles, the shop meets or exceeds company standards
Jobsite Management
· Identifies the skills team members need to complete the on-site project activities and organizes these resources to maximize cost effectiveness and ensure timely and profitable completion of projects in accordance with project standards
· Coordinates to assist Project Manager and/or Project Coordination with scheduling and managing sub-contractors
· Organizes onsite materials and resources provided to ensure they are available to complete the project in a timely manner; schedules material deliveries with the Project Manager or Project Coordination as necessary
· Identifies equipment needed to complete work and supports scheduling accordingly
· Solves problems efficiently and effectively, proactively provides solutions
· Consistently communicates project updates, successes and risks to project managers and leadership; coordinates with project managers and project coordinators to maintain workflow
· Notifies Project Manager of any potential change orders to ensure they will be addressed in a timely manner
· Identifies, communicates, and proactively troubleshoots problems on the jobsite
· Maintains project documentation in a timely manner including daily production reports
· Records materials utilization and provides timely reporting to project coordination
· Consistently audits quality of work product
· Practices preventive maintenance of tools, equipment, trailers and vehicles by performing daily inspections
People Management
· Consistently and clearly communicates the plan and expectations to crew members verbally and in writing, providing daily goals and objectives
· Facilitates regular check-ins with crews to proactively facilitate project progress updates
· Recruits new team members
· Promotes career advancement to foster retention of current team members
· Reviews and approves crew timesheets to ensure accurate reporting of labor hours and equipment utilization
· Manages and facilitates employee relations and addresses problems in the field
· Communicates with the leadership team when issues that arise that may affect individual or company culture or are in violation of Company policies
· Establishes a cadence of communication and coordination with the key customer contacts to ensure total customer satisfaction
· Provides feedback on the quality and effectiveness of existing subcontractor relationships
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Demonstrates thorough knowledge of infrastructure construction processes and procedures resulting from three or more years of experience
· Exhibits all the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work assigned with solid well organized processes and procedures
· Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints, construction drawings, project manuals, project specifications, and work instructions.
· Able to efficiently operate the required tools, equipment, vehicles and trailers necessary to work on projects; and assists team members in becoming proficient at operating the listed items
· Able to efficiently maintain required tools, equipment, vehicles and trailers required on projects and responsible for assisting team members in becoming proficient at operating the listed items
· Demonstrates experience to effectively manage people

Required Certifications
· Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL)
o With Tanker Endorsement

· Competent Person Training
· First Aid, CPR, AED
· High School Graduate (or equivalent)
Preferred Certifications
· OSHA 30
· HAZMAT Training
· CDL: Not Tractor Trailer Restricted
· CDL: HAZMAT Endorsement
Physical Requirements
· Able to give and receive verbal directives
· 20/20 vision or wears corrective lenses to meet the requirement
· State mandated requirements for peripheral vision and depth perception must be met
· State mandated requirement for color correction vision and hue saturation are required
· Able to walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, and crouch
· Able to reach with hands and arms
· Able to lift 75 lbs. individually and team lift 150 lbs.
· Able to work in inclement weather conditions including heat, humidity, cold, rain, and wind
Travel Requirements
· Travel to jobsites in accordance with Company policies and procedures is required
· Overnight travel further than 60 miles from the main shop located in Seymour, WI
· During travel periods, team members may share lodging and transportation to and from jobsites in accordance with the travel policy
The Foreman performs all other duties and responsibilities will be assigned in accordance with the needs of the Company, jobsite, or project.
