Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and systems. It requires a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. The Maintenance Technician will work collaboratively with team members to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and efficient environment for all staff and residents.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner
• Conduct regular inspections of apartments and common areas to identify and resolve maintenance issues
• Prepare units for new residents by completing turnovers, including painting, appliance installation, and minor repairs
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls, including after-hours and weekends as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in safe, clean working condition
• Assist with groundskeeping tasks such as snow removal, trash pickup, and light landscaping
• Collaborate with property management and leasing staff to ensure resident satisfaction

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues effectively
• Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• Property maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
